Ilias Chrissochoidis, Lecturer in Continuing Studies Ilias Chrissochoidis received a PhD in Music History from Stanford University. Back Lounge, Bechtel International Center Discover and discuss the life and achievements of prominent contemporary women in America and the world. March will be dedicated to Condoleeza Rice. Reading a biography is recommended but not necessary. Our discussion will focus on issues such as success versus family, career's turning points, interactions with men, and positive discrimination. Bring your brown-bag lunch while we provide coffee and tea. Next meetings for this discussion group will be Thursday, March 24th. Friday Morning Coffee Every Friday 10 a.m. to 12 noon Patio and Assembly Room, Bechtel International Center This informal gathering is open to all members of the Stanford community.  If you're newly arrived, it's a great way to meet others from around the world and get tips about living here.  If you're looking for volunteer work, or expecting a baby, or looking for friends or playmates for your pre-school children, you'll meet others who can share their experiences.  Our information table and the Resource Center for International Families contain useful handouts on all kinds of opportunities that can enrich your time in the Stanford area. 3. Informal Conversation at the Friday Morning Coffee Friday, March 18 10:30 - 11:30 A.M. Assembly Room, Bechtel International Center The group will meet again this week, to discuss religion and society. Grab a coffee, a cookie (or two) and join us as we share perspectives on hot topics in a friendly and informal way. At the end of the session, we will also discuss next semester's agenda of topics, so give it a thought and if you have suggestions or would like to bring a topic for discussion, please, plan to attend. On April 1, the Japanese mothers will share traditions of Hina Matsuri (Girls Festival)! They'll bring typical snacks, show how to make origami (paper folding) and give a taste of the tea ceremony. Come and enjoy!  Volunteers are always needed to help set up and put away the supplies.  You're invited to bring a snack to go with the coffee, tea and hot chocolate provided by the I-Center.   Please stop by and get acquainted!  Everyone is welcome! 4.
