A little history: On March 8th, 1857, hundreds of women workers in garments and textile factories in New York City staged a strike against low wages, long hours, and inhumane working conditions. 53 years later, in 1910, the Women's Socialist International commemorated the strike by observing the day annually. Today, International Women's Day is an occasion marked by women's groups around the world. Bring a main dish, side dish, or salad. We will provide drinks and utensils (Undergrads only need to bring themselves). End of EV Newsletter
