Community Associates (2008-2009)
Meet your new CAs for this year!
The Oasis Community Associates plan fun and exciting events to feed and entertain our fabulous neighborhood. We are always looking for new and cool things to do and are always ready to listen to your ideas.
For Academic year 2008-2009, your neighborhood CAs are:
- Sadie Bartholomew (141-101) is starting her 2nd year in the Biochemistry Dept. In her “free time” (ha!), she loves to ride horses, play with puppies, go water and snow skiing, hike, camp, play Apples to Apples, and eat chocolate.
- Fen Zhao (142-101) is a fifth year student in Applied Physics and simulates magnetic fields in supernova. A native New Yorker, she likes Star Trek, playing the flute, and painting. She does not like long walks on the beach. She is also a member of the Graduate Student Council; come to her with any of your graduate student concerns.
- Bryan Chen(141-108)-- when he’s not in the lab-- plays the guitar, watches movies, tries to stay in shape, cooks, and plans events for The Oasis!

Around the World in a Half an Hour
In our final feast of the school year, we Oasians indulged in sushi, bbq and pasta. Team Oasis inhaled the sushi in a matter of minutes. Well, we know what to get for our next neighborhood dinner!

Endless Breadsticks
For the first winter neighborhood dinner, Oasis residents enjoyed food from the OG. It was an oasis garden of olives. The lasagna was especially delicious. Props to Pearline for picking it all up, and props to all the Oasians that help set up the food.
